RE-IMAGINED ORNAMENTS
Supplies needed:
Acrylic Paint
Paint Brushes
Boring Ornament (do not use fragile or glass ornament)
Workman’s Friend Barrier Skin Cream
Do you have a few lifeless, boring ornaments? Well, turn them into a decoration you will be proud to display on your tree. Personalize an old ornament with a fun design or paint a pretty winter scene. A really festive idea would be to paint candy canes or a snowflake. If you are feeling super creative, try painting Santa or one of his many elves! You can even treat the ornaments like Easter eggs and dip them into the paint. Use your imagination and have fun building holiday memories with your loved ones.
Before tackling any project, coat your hands with Workman’s Friend Barrier Skin Cream and protect your skin from any chemicals that may be in your art supplies. Workman’s Friend Barrier Skin Cream keeps the holiday “naughty” out and the spirited “good” in by keeping your skin hydrated from within.
HELPFUL HINT: You can also get cheap plastic ornaments at a “dollar store” this time of year.
START A HANDPRINT SCRAPBOOK
Supplies needed:
A Scrapbook or Three Ring Binder
Construction Paper (trimmed to fit your book)
Paper Plate
Acrylic Paint
Paint Brushes and Glitter
Workman’s Friend Hand Cleaner with Activated Charcoal
Workman’s Friend Healing Hand Cream
Here is an amazing idea your family can look forward to year after year! Some people mark their children’s height on a wall as their kids grow up. These marks eventually rub off and the memories are lost forever. Have fun documenting your child’s growth by creating art using imprints of their hands. Take a paper plate and spread out a layer of acrylic paint onto the plate’s surface. Now for the fun part, let your child get messy! Place their palm into the paint and coat it well. Grab a piece of construction paper and press your child’s hand in the center of the paper. Slowly lift the hand away and you have a record of your child’s growth. Now, decorate the page. Give your child a paint brush and let them paint some art around the handprint. Add some glitter to the art before the paint dries to add a little sparkle.
Be sure and clean the child’s hand immediately after making the hand imprint with Workman’s Friend Hand Cleaner with Activated Charcoal to insure the art does not get dirty from all the paint on their hand. After the pages are dry and the scrapbook is assembled, treat everyone’s hands to Workman’s Friend Healing Hand Cream for soothing relief from dry skin. You won’t realize how dry your hands have become from your arts and crafts projects until you experience the moisturizing relief of Workman’s Friend Healing Hand Cream.
Once the art is completely dry, add the page to your scrapbook or binder. Display with pride and holiday joy!
